WELDCOM PARTICIPATES IN THE VIETNAM - INDIA INNOVATION FORUM 2026

In the late afternoon of May 6, 2026 (local time), in the capital New Delhi, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India, organized the Vietnam – India Innovation Forum with the theme “Cooperation in developing human resources, science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.” General Secretary, President To Lam attended and delivered a keynote speech at the Forum. Within the framework of the event, Weldcom was honored to accompany prominent Vietnamese enterprises in connecting cooperation in the fields of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

At the Forum, the General Secretary, President emphasized that science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming new growth drivers of the economy in the modern development era.

According to General Secretary, President To Lam, strong breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, big data, biotechnology, digital technology, and clean energy are profoundly changing the growth model and the global economic structure. Vietnam identifies science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as central drivers to develop a modern production force, enhance strategic autonomy, and promote sustainable growth.

Notably, the General Secretary, President highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and India in strategic technology fields such as AI, semiconductors, digital technology, smart manufacturing, and high-quality human resource development. He also emphasized the need to promote models of “co-research – co-development – co-production,” forming linked R&D centers, joint laboratories, and technology workforce corridors between the two countries.

In recent years, Weldcom has gradually expanded its cooperation activities and presence in the Indian market through many significant milestones. At the Steel Construction Expo 2024 held in Mumbai, Weldcom's booth attracted the attention of numerous partners and businesses in the steel structure industry, opening up many opportunities for international connection and cooperation.

Notably, the ceremony for exporting the first HN0630-S3F Bruco smart welding gate to the Indian market, held at the Weldcom Hung Yen Factory in December 2024, marked an important step in the journey of bringing “Made by Weldcom” technology products to the world, affirming the research, production, and technological mastery capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises.

Alongside commercial and export activities, Weldcom is also developing a network of partners and maintaining a long-term presence in the Indian market to promote deep cooperation in the field of industry and smart manufacturing.

One of the notable highlights in 2025 was Weldcom's participation in implementing the VinFast electric car factory project in Tamil Nadu, India, as the General Contractor for the car body production line (Body Shop). The project continues to affirm Weldcom's capability in providing automation solutions and production lines meeting international standards for the electric car industry.

In the coming time, with the established cooperation foundation in the Indian market and the presence of a representative office there, Weldcom will continue to strengthen connectivity, technology transfer, and expand cooperation in the fields of automation, smart manufacturing, and high-tech industry. Participating in the Vietnam – India Innovation Forum 2026 not only demonstrates Weldcom's commitment to promoting innovation and digital transformation but also opens up new cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese enterprises and international partners. This is also the next step in the strategy to extend Weldcom's solutions, technology, and production capabilities further in the global market.
