Solution for processing billets over 12MM thick
Solution Introduction
In industries such as heavy steel structures, wind power, oil and gas, shipbuilding, and industrial equipment manufacturing, most components are machined from steel plates with a thickness of 12 mm or more. This is a group of products with large dimensions, heavy weight, and high precision requirements during machining as well as assembly. Weldcom's thick billet preprocessing solution is designed to optimize the entire process from billet feeding, high-power laser cutting, post-cutting product handling to storage and production data management. The system combines automation equipment with the SmarlineiQ software platform, helping to build a continuous material flow, reduce labor dependency, and enhance the operational efficiency of the entire workshop. By connecting data from drawing to production, the solution not only helps improve machining productivity but also lays the foundation for digitalization and production management in modern steel structure factories.
Production Process
Step 1. Material Supply
Thick steel plates are directly supplied from the storage area to the laser cutting machine through a crane system or an automatic material supply system.
The solution is suitable for large-sized and heavy-load materials, helping to reduce production preparation time, limit manual handling operations, and enhance operational safety.
